Jazz Artists in the Schools

Students participating in DFJE’s Jazz Artists in the Schools (JAIS) program refine their skills as musicians and develop skills in jazz appreciation through intensive interactions with active performers/clinicians who work directly in the schools with student musicians and their instructors. JAIS funding has supported vocal jazz coaching, high school band festival clinics, presentations to general student groups, and individually tailored clinics in selected schools.
